Fun With Office Supplies

Is it art?
Is it functional?

Who knows- could be both.

Or could be boredom.

I do recommend making the chain of binder clips. I think that it is a lot like what I imagine a spine to be like. Try it! It'll be fun! Better yet, make your own office art and put it up on your blog. We'll start a whole "thing".

I'm not sure whether to be proud or ashamed or amazed or stupified or what, I think I'll do it all.

They really are pretty neat though. Thanks for making me say, "huh".

Remember that C + C Music Factory song "Things That Make Ya Go Hmmm"? That was a good one. It was about marital infidelity, but I think we could find a way to make it apply to binder clips. I like that I can see fingers in the last picture holding the lovely/professional paper.

Tara- I loves you too!

And yes, I was bored and you should be proud, ashamed, amazed, and stupified.

Arwen- I think I would have been more embarassed if you had seen my messy desk instead of my fingers holding the paper and I would have really been a loser if I had taken the time to edit that out of the photo.

that is true, but even if you were a loser, I'd still miss you like crazy! Perhaps someday you'll meet my husband. Once, Jess and I had this joke that I wasn't really married because no one had ever actually seen Seth. I promise you, it's real.

anrea, arwens right, she does have husband, who is also real. i saw him once and he was wearing plaid shorts. i think that is proof enough that he is real.

I think that maybe I should let you both know, that I have seen Seth on numerous occasions, the first being the time with the plaind shorts. Yes he is real, and yes, he is always dressed for success.
Anrea, I am an official blogger now! I miss you lots!! Love you!!

a couple weeks ago i was sitting through this horrendous training...BORING....and so i started doodling and playing with whatever was on the table. our training packets were clamped together with those clips you fancied up...so i traced the foldy part. go ahead and do that. see what kind of art it makes. my entire table erupted in laughter...i was clueless, until someone showed me my drawing from their angle. oops!

those are pretty cool! Maybe you should try to market them as modern art.

Do you need a business consultant? I can make myself available for a fee...

...such as an Oreo cookie.

Hello! Found your blog and LOVE your office supply artwork. I think you could set posters of this. Imagine if the binder clips were cast out of bronze and were each, say, 2' tall. That could be a very cool statue!
