Most of you have probably read on my husband's blog and read that we were gone on vacation. We are back now and trying to catch up on everything.
In California we went out to hear music in the park. There was a Steely Dan cover band. It was so nice out. It was great to be outside in the evening without humidity and without bugs!
Monday we drove down to Monterey. We had breakfast and dinner at The Plaza Hotel (very shwanky) and looked through an art gallery and did some wine tasting. It was beautiful and a lot of fun. Tuesday we went into San Francisco to the Golden Gate Park and the Conservatory of Flowers.
Wednesday we came through Portland and saw family in the morning and got to have lunch with friends (some of you bloggers were there) and then we jumped on the train to get up to Tacoma, Washington.
We spent time with James' family up in Washington. We went to a place called Point Defiance and it was gorgeous. I didn't know that there was such a pretty place in Tacoma.
Over all it was exhausting but so much fun. I still have not recovered from all the traveling. It did make me more home sick and more anxious to move back to Portland.

oh, i love point defiance. especially the name, for some odd reason.
andrea: as much as your visit made you long to move back to PDX, it made me CRAZY IMPATIENT for you to move back!!! it was so good to see you two! can't wait till you're across the street (cause that's what i'm praying for...you guys should be our neighbors!)
